Hold On Tight

 This is a fun comic to depict.  Initially, one might think that this is directly correlating to the republican primary in general.  However there's more to the photo than just that.  Rick Santorum at one point or another has talked of strapping his dog to the top of his car on a vacation.  This photo on the New Yorker then twists that idea and makes it so Mitt Romney has Santorum strapped to the top of his car like a dog.  The image can almost be looked at as Santorum is to his dog as Romney is to Santorum.
